Change of shift at Tecsys
After thirty years at the helm of the company that Klaus Juhl founded together with Henrik Eriksen, it is time for a change in management. Klaus Juhl takes over as Chairman of the Board of Tecsys A/S and hands over to Martin Wulff, former Sales Director at Tecsys. Henrik Eriksen continues as Head of IT at Tecsys.
“It’s an exciting time to be at the helm. The corona epidemic has made life difficult for many companies around the world, but it has also created new opportunities. Working in the supply chain industry, there has been an additional need to deliver goods as efficiently as possible as many have put their sales online or implemented click and collect. We have been able to help them with this and will continue to do our best to contribute new products that fit the reality we live in.” Martin Wulff explains.
In his new role as chairman, Klaus will continue to be involved in an advisory capacity to Tecsys, so he will not completely let go of the company he co-founded in 1990 as a young graduate engineer from DTU.
Klaus Juhl says: “When we founded PCSYS, we focused on delivering good technical products and providing a good service to our customers. That recipe has worked well, and will continue to characterise Tecsys. We’ve always seen employees as the company’s most important resource, and our motto has always been that work should be fun. We have, perhaps for that reason, employees who have celebrated both 20 and 25 years with us. Now I have the privilege of handing over the day-to-day management to a capable man with a competent organisation behind him, and I will continue to be on the sidelines.”
Over the past 30 years, PCSYS has grown to become a major software company in the logistics market. Tecsys in Canada spotted this when they were looking for a solid company in Europe in 2019 to pave the way for expansion into Europe. PCSYS changed its name to Tecsys a year ago and is now a natural part of the international organisation Tecsys Inc. The Danish-developed WMS7 is on its way to the first North American customers, just as the Canadian-developed software products have also arrived in Europe.
Tecsys A/S ended the 2020 financial year with gross profit of DKK 37.8 million and a pre-tax profit of DKK 12.9 million.
